WEEK 60: PRIORITZING FAMILY TIME

 Hey everyone! Happy Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving Sunday was lit!

1. We had two churches which were fun. 2.we had lunch with my Dad and his fiance. He happened to be in Alberta on vacation  for his 50th birthday (happy birthday shoutout. So old) so he drove down to Lethbridge to see me! We went to the hypest park in town right with the bridge, had lunch then walked around. Never an experience I thought I'd ever have on my mission for sure.
3.After words, we had a long member visit with someone who just left on their mission. Got to have a house tour in our first indoor visit since my being here (4 months). We are now allowed going inside with masks, but not eating inside.
4 And to finish the day off we went 6-9 at our favourite family's house, the Reuands! We ate outside in the cold with some of the kids who are around our age, then hung out, chatted and chilled inside. Got a hype referral too!

That hype family found out we didn't have dinner for thanksgiving so we had our turnkey dinner there! Monday, 6-9 again. Cancellations came in clutch to allow time for that. We went around the group, said all we were thankful for and played games. So a total of like 6 hours there but no regrets. We didn't get served first day 2 cause we are no longer guests there, so no need to serve guests first. A nice joke we had haha.

We had a wack old person visit that was kind of scary when we were on exchanges. She asked us to promise if we'd come back. We said yes. Then she said "promise? promise? promise?" progressively louder and more aggressive until she was screaming  promise and we were scared. She just made so many weird comments and was off. She also asked if we write down our visits and told us to tell no one about ours w her. So suss.  On that exchange though a member came in clutch and we got $100 for dinner. 50 each and ate KD. Sucks for moses who missed out eh.

Fun facts:
Grady also had his baptism and we gave talks.
I got two eddie bauer sweaters for $10
It snowed today here
And i got $50 for dinner. So nice I had to write it twice
And transfers happened. I stayed. Moses left. Elder weaver is coming. In zone transfer so I kind of know him.

Going with the Thanksgiving theme, I am thankful for everything in my life. My family, friends,  Canada, opportunities we have, the gospel, Christ, prayer and trials.  Thankful for the good and the bad, even though it's hard to be thankful for the bad in the moment. Thankful for everyone back home and here. So thank you everyone:)

Love,

Elder Fiore

The Homecoming!

To say we were excited is an understatement! I spoke with Zach that morning before he left: We were all anxiously awaiting at the airport! ...
