The Homecoming!

To say we were excited is an understatement!

I spoke with Zach that morning before he left:

We were all anxiously awaiting at the airport!

And that's a wrap - two years! Two missions. One intermission. Lots of video calls. Lots of emails. Lots of prayers. Lots of growth.

When Zach left, he left  me a video - which I loved to watch. He promised me he would remember tender mercies, he would look for thin places and he would journal a lot... I hope that he was successful in all those things.

So proud of him and everything that he endured, how much he grew and how at the same time, he stayed the same Zach.

Love you more and always
Mom

Week 101: Trio gang miracles and I did it

Hello young and old. The final email is upon us. This one's long because it was one of the best weeks of my life. I am writing this while waiting at the gate at the airport going back home. And you are reading this as I'm in the air or already home. What a time.

I seriously can't believe my mission is done. Countless times I've said I wanna go home, I can't do it, what's the point, and now I am going home, I did it, and I see why. By far the hardest two years, but by far the most growth. Finally going home, after mainly being excited leading up, but I'm sad. Its bitter sweet. I never thought I'd feel this way but I'm seriously so sad to be going home, leaving the people of Southern alberta. Genuinely sad. But of course excited for what lies ahead.

This last week was unbelievable. Multiple spiritual experiences that last a lifetime, absolute miracles. Experiences of a mission. We chose baptism dates with 5 people this week, all of which weren't planned but spirit lead, and were very powerful. I can't explain them.
Super brief version, hit me up if you wanna actually hear, one of them

With the first woman we talked about after death and Temples (she brought them up since she heard about them at church), how we can be sealed and live with our families forever. The hope and peace that brings is amazing. The lesson was insane. The strongest I have ever felt the spirit in my life. I won't go into details but it was life changing.
Another 3 we talked about how the church was restored and how we have God's authority and power and one of them had already promised God she would be baptized on that date we chose. we read different stories from the Bible and book of mormon and invited them
And lastly, the 5th has felt a huge change since meeting with us a few weeks ago and wants to be fully clean and come closer to christ. Absolute insane lessons full of the spirit and joy.

We also started teaching 3 new people, all of which are solid. The last guy was my last lesson as a missionary. We met him through a free Bible ad I posted in April and I've been talking with him since. We finally met and he was so prepared. Since April I had been trying to set it up and he never had time. He made time just because I was leaving and after the lesson, because he felt so strongly about what we said and how he felt, he wanted to meet 7-9 twice a week to learn more. It was nuts. We couldn't do that long but seeing his desire to learn after that first step was amazing. His questions were crazy good and he is incredibly humble.

And of course, I didn't go without having some fun with northy and Mazey. We hit Drumheller Thursday, dino site saw and went around with elsie a recent convert. Visited like 4 80+ year olds, got free crushed ice. We also went with 2 other recent converts who are horse race trainers and played with the horses, brushed them, watered them! And lastly we went to the temple with our mission president which was great as well. Also had dinner with him Sunday, spent the night at the hotel with two other missionaries and hit two barbecues in the week with spike ball. What a week. What a way to end.

My mission means the world to me now. It wasn't easy at any stage. I believe the purpose of life is to find joy and progress and there's no better way I could have done either than serving these last two years. I know Jesus Christ is my saviour, I know the book of mormon is true, I know God is our Father and I know he hears every prayer. I have experiences with each which enabled me to know these things. I have become better and relied on christ. It has been an amazing 2 years.

Thank you for following along everyone and supporting. Thank you for reading this far in this email.

If ever, through reading these emails or just living life, you have been interested in learning more about my mission, Jesus Christ, or the church of Jesus Christ, let me know. Seriously, I'd love to share.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week.

Love,
