Hello!
Another week gone by here in southern Alberta! The weeks go by fast but that makes it so it feels like not much happened!
I guess a fun thing was that we had a great young men's activity/ fireside organized for all the youth we teach. We played a touch football game, trampoline stuff, and had a book of mormon spiritual thought. We had 6 non members come! We are gonna start teaching one, and already teach 2!
We started reteaching Xander's (the boy getting baptized Saturday who is lit) little brother, micheal. When I asked what his intentions were for doing the lessons he said to get baptized ! So I gave him a calendar and we chose a date in a couple weeks! Their whole family is amazing. We played basketball with them for a bit last night which was fun. Micheal is the same kid I played 1v1 against, winner chose whether or not he comes to a lesson. I won, he came, the rest is history. So our teaching all started with me being dirty at basketball on 6ft nets against kids!
Our new zone is also great and I like all the new missionaries that came in! We've played some games, spikeball and had some fun already!
Tie update: I got 6 from another apartment, and Rachael sent me two she got for $2.50 total. So there's still a steady increase dw.
Hope everyone has a great week! This past week has shown me the importance of being myself and trusting my gut. I've been able to connect w way more members and people we are teaching just by having fun, joking around and using spirit of the law. I havnt been the stereotypical "what I think a missionary should be", but I've just been myself and it's been way more fun and helpful! We are needed where we are for who we are! Being me has been way better. And some missionaries for sure would find some things questionable, but thats okay!
Hope everyone has a great week!
