Week 98: The motor sporting, fishing, zip lining, sick elder!

Well hello there! This ones a long one!

Another week here in the heat. Its been cooling off a bit though. Heat was fine other than the no AC haha. But all good.

We got our 2nd covid vaccine on Tuesday and are now full. Combine that with Alberta being fully open we are living the dream. Went in stores maskless, inside a few homes for meetings and visits and had fully open church w no masks and singing! First time since Tahiti!!! It's been exciting. I love how normal is exciting. Bad helps us appreciate and enjoy the good!

We got super sick after the vaccine though which sucked. Felt so bad Wednesday and arm killed. Both of us. So that was very rough but we still worked as hard as we could, spoke to people-oriented the streets and had a few lessons! So even though we maybe did less that day, we worked harder. It's about effort in the moment and working hardest you can where you're at!

With Restrictions opening we met with some big groups outdoors. We attended a family gathering, and then also had a 50 person gathering which was sweet. So many people. I zip lined which was hype, but hurt my needle arm haha. It's nice to see so many people now

Saturday we didn't have a lot going on but got lucky and ended up having a great day.
Firstly we did some service on Atvs, plowing some fields, and then took the plow things off and just rode around on them. It wasn't really allowed missionary wise...but it was at a senior missionaries house, so all good.

At our dinner that night, we fished minnows with a net, I caught lots ;) (I'm a fisherman now) and Northcott put one live in his mouth and gagged it out cause it was moving too much lol .

We ended the night at Ali's house. He is a former major in the Pakistani army and invited us to hang out and chat at his house! He lives in our apartment building and came up to us Friday and said "it's about time we meet". He was so cool and kind and I loved him. He told us we can't talk religion though, and proceeded to yell at us about his, so that was weird but overall he was sweet, cool and gave us ice cream. He kept saying how he wants to be friends for life. So cute.

Overall a great week to be closing off my mission! Just a few more. We also started teaching a woman who is insanely interested and sweet, has so many questions and we started answering many. Really really solid first lesson with her. A guy as well who we have a first lesson with Wednesday. The work is booming!!!

Have a great week everyone!!

Oh and happy birthday Gabe and Sam!

Love,

Elder Fiore

The Homecoming!

To say we were excited is an understatement! I spoke with Zach that morning before he left: We were all anxiously awaiting at the airport! ...
