Week 78:Overdressed at young adult group... and everywhere

 Happy valentine's day!

It's so hard to come up with any updates. I look through our schedule and like, we just had lots of planning, and zoom calls! Trying to just grind and work with lots of members!

Only thing of note was that we got out of quarantine and could do stuff out of the house! Although it didnt make a huge difference with covid and still very cold temperatures, it was super nice!

On Wednesday we went down to Calgary to pick up mail where we bumped into President on his birthday! Then we went to a big mall with some other missionaries!

Friday we went to a food bank and even another church's young adult group in the evening! I dont understand the other church and how disorganized they were. I wouldn't be able to handle it. Adding to the already existing awkwardness of young adult church groups in general, we were new, knew only one person, were in shirts and ties,  and worst of all had to introduce ourselves as elder to a bunch of confused teenagers. That was the roughest part of the night. We are weird lol.

Oh and I got my official end date! JULY 26TH 2021! It's earlier than expected and yet still so far lol. 5 months to go!

I have been listening to a lot more general conference talks and I was thinking this week that you know a feeling is beneficial or not, not by whether it feels "good" or "bad" but whether it's helping you progress, come closer to Christ and fulfill your potential or not.  Too often we think feeling content, happy or other positive emotions, is good. Feeling discontent, sad or harder emotions, bad. But it's more about the actions that come from the feelings! Are we feeling content and wanting to still progress, or content and satisfied, meaning done? Does discontent or sadness push us towards christ and improvement? Or does it discourage and halt us. It's all about fulfilling potential to become more christlike and helping us to action! So if you feel discontent with things, help that make you better. If you're feeling content, dont stop!

Hope everyone has a great week this week! Stay warm (the classic thing to say here every single lesson)

Love,

Elder Fiore

The Homecoming!

To say we were excited is an understatement! I spoke with Zach that morning before he left: We were all anxiously awaiting at the airport! ...
